Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it’s not because they enjoy solitude. It’s because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them.

pia-lexandra asked: Do you think we're going to see anything come of the "Daryl was a homicide cop" theory? Not that I think he was, obviously, but in light of the murders this season, it seems a little too appropriate to have been a throwaway comment.

normryl:

Well, I was having a discussion with Praxid a while back about it and she did theorize that it would have made sense after the murders took place if Daryl was able to use some of his tracking skills to find some evidence.
Clearly, they didn’t go that way.

Daryl’s reaction to Carol as a killer was the same as mine- no way it’s her. So if he thinks she might be taking the wrap for someone else, then I think he would be able to try and get the information out of them. He has more than one method. He’s a good listener and if he had someone he suspected with him, then a gentle approach might coax a confession out of someone. And if that doesn’t work, we know he’s not above roughing someone up to get the truth.

They did say that everything in the first episode was important, so I took that comment to be something as well. I hope that it does mean something, that he’s able to put a piece of the puzzle together that’s been over looked so far.
How things stand at the moment, with him out with Beth, he;s not going to get very far with finding anything out. Unless Beth’s the killer.
